sudo vi /etc/apt/sources.list
Add:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/openoffice-pkgs/ubuntu intrepid main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/openoffice-pkgs/ubuntu intrepid main
then do an update:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install openoffice.org
